Singer, Actress, Hopeless Dreamer

“Now remember firmly what I tell you: the theatre, on account of its publicity and spectacular side, attracts many people who merely want to capitalize their beauty or make careers. They take advantage of the ignorance of the public, its perverted taste, favouritism, intrigues, false success, and many other means which have no relation to creative art. These exploiters are the deadliest enemies of art. We have to use the sternest measure with them, and if they cannot be reformed they must be removed from the boards. Therefore … you must make up your mind, once and for all, did you come here to serve art, and to make sacrifices for its sake, or to exploit your own personal ends?”

“Acting is not about being someone different. It’s finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.”

“I don’t want to be famous, I want to be successful. I want to have an accomplished career filled with a variety of roles and challenges. I want to create and inspire others to create. Fame is not a goal for me. Yes I want to be recognised, but recognised for what I have achieved. I have so many big dreams, many would say are unrealistic, but anything is possible if you want and work for it hard enough. Everyday I am inspired and motivated by the people around me. People I communicate with, be it actors, friends, strangers. You can find hope and encouragement in everyday life, you just have to open your eyes and broaden your mind. Think positive, BE positive.”

“When I come into the theatre I feel a sense of security. I love an audience. I love people. I act because I like trying to bring pleasure to people. Make them laugh or make them cry. That’s why people go to the theatre. For an emotional exercise. I am a servant of the people. I will never forget that.”

    I believe in theater

    I believe in music

    I believe in comedy

    I believe in love

I believe that laughter is the best medicine.

I believe that theater can make a difference in the world.

Guys, if you have ever laughed until you’ve cried, if you’ve ever cried until you laughed, if you’ve ever put on a play in your back yard, if you’ve ever stayed up all night singing silly songs with your friends, and those are the best moments of your life, then you believe in love! Alright?

“This is what theatre is… It is joy one day and it’s gone the next. It’s like a religion, and I don’t apologize for wanting to be a part of that.”

    To inspire…..

One of the guys in my theatre company, who joined us for our Glee show, has sent me this message and I want to share it with you guys. It’s touched my heart and I’m just so happy for him. This is why I started my own company in the first place - to help and inspire people. I’m crying happy tears right now, I’m so blessed to have friends like this

"I don’t think I thanked you for the opportunity of doing the glee show, so thank you Michelle Cox. I think the glee show was what I needed, I was really pushed vocally in that show, and I hardly ever get pushed vocally. I belted a top A for every show, and to be honest I never thought I’d be doing that. All Gleed Up did more for me as a performer than I think you know. And your big break is just waiting for you. A girl as gorgeous, and sweet, and fun, and as talented as you deserves the best of the world. I hope you don’t ever forget that you’re a star. And I look forward to doing more shows with you and the rest of Deeva Productions……..

………I’m the one who needed an outlet, to be pushed, and you provided that…I’m glad to be part of a company so kind and friendly and warm and supportive….I’m just so happy that you, such an inspirational talented person is part of my life”

    Theatre Show Research

So I need to ask you guys a huge favour? I own my own Theatre Company and am doing some research about how to best market my shows. Could you please fill out the super short survey about going to the theatre? It doesn’t matter where in the world you are from, its more about how you find shows to watch. Please RT, or reblog or whatever so I can get a wide range of responses. Thank you so much.
