People often say,
That fate will lead the way
It takes us on a journey
From which we cant escape
We’ve got our own expectations,
Our future goals, our inspirations,
Somehow they never turn out right,
Almost there but never quite.
How do we fight
On our own every night
With no one to help us
Not a soul in sight
But then there was you
Leading me through

Today I was lucky enough to have a backstage tour of the West End theatre for Wicked. I can’t tell you just how inspired I feel today seeing how it works and it’s made me realise how much I want this! The photo is what I took when I was standing on the stage.

Day 26: Lyrics…
Recently I have been inspired to start song writing and this is what I came up with on set today. It’s partly inspired by Curt, but also other close friends who help me daily with my journey.
Everybody has their bad days
We’re human after all
But do they have a person
To catch them when they fall?
I used to think that weakness
Meant letting people in
But as I’ve got to know you
I see how wrong I’ve been

You are my light in darker times
Without you I would fall
You pick me up, you dust me down
To stand me back up tall
So thank you, thank you
For being my star at night
For being there beside me
For helping me to fight
I guess you’ll never realize
How much you help me through
The times I need some guidance

Day 25: Mash-up…
Today I was listening to ‘Desperado’ by the Eagles and had an idea for a mashup. So I decided to try and mix the Glee version of ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ and the Eagles song ‘Desperado’, but to make the songs fit, I had to sing them in the same key. I’m not sure how well it works but here is a rough version.

On set today, my favourite thing to see during the movie making process is the clapper board, I dont know why. I guess it’s because it’s stereotypically associated with filming. Feeling very inspired on set today, some great talent on and off screen.

You can face it, embrace it, no need to fear the beauty, beauty everywhere. I just really liked this idea when I saw the contrast of the ladybird on the white flower.

Day 22: Fun in the sun…
Today’s photo I was inspired to take, after coming across one of my favourite inspirational quotes: “Keep heading towards the sun, and the shadows will fall behind you”. It’s a quote I often live by as a struggling performer. Though it’s a tough business, if you keep heading for that dream, that goal, the hard times will drift away.

Today’s photo was inspired by Curt’s thoughts on healthy eating. And what is healthier than fruit? If you eat healthy and look after yourselves, you will find you have much more energy and drive :)

Day 19: I’m not that girl…
One of my all time favourite musicals is ‘Wicked’. Beautiful music and just stunning songs. So whilst listening to the phenomenal Idina Menzel today I decided to do a cover of ‘I’m not that girl’. It’s a different sort of song for me as I’m used to big belting numbers or big ballads. This is quite low, but is a good vehicle for trying to get more emotion into a song. See what you think.

So I was watching ‘House’ today and something they said really struck me. They were talking about what they love about the internet and I just think today’s photo is perfect for it. It’s exactly how I feel, when people talk about how, socially it has affected society :)

Day 16: Learning from others…
Whilst filming on set today, I was truly inspired watching the others actors work. Its so fascinating to me to see these people do their craft with such passion. I learn so much from just people watching on a set. So today’s photo is a little pic of the trailers used for the artists. It’s not as creative as my others, but I have been on set ALL DAY so, sorry :)
