Intesa - Untold stories of bullying

Please help us fund our new original, hard hitting musical about the untold stories of bullying. Click here to contribute to our project. Please like and reblog to help get the word out there. One of the stories in our show, is inspired by Tumblr so it would mean a lot to us if we could get funded :D
Synopsis of the Musical
INTESA - UNDERSTANDING IS THE KEY TO KNOWLEDGE
We are not born mean, or homophobic, or racist or sexist. It’s the environment and influence of those closest to you. We are taught the behaviour we have.
We are so busy with our lives, that we never take time to notice anyone else. Sometimes, people just need an ear to listen. People are so quick to judge others, but what would you think if you really knew their story? This hard hitting new musical tackles the untold stories of bullying from the people you’d least expect. The mother who’s being bullied by her teenage daughter. The businessman who’s hiding his pain, while every day he gets taunted at his workplace. The girl who is just trying to fit in with her friends. The homeless guy, not really living, but surviving. This show takes you on an emotional roller coaster as we discover just how bullying and intimidation affects even the strongest of people.
The name of the show derives from the Italian language. The word ‘Intesa’ means ‘Understanding’. If people understood what others went through, would they still turn a blind eye?
Short Summary
Always Love was created by friends Michelle Cox and Tanja Hansson after they decided they wanted to find a way to work towards a better world. Their aim is to help those in need, through a variety of mediums from live theatre and charity concerts, to random acts of kindness. Michelle has previously owned another theatre company where she raised over £3000 for various charities. Tanja has worked closely with human rights campaigns across the world and is very passionate about equality.
We decided we wanted to try and raise money for organisations close to our heart. So we set about writing our own musical. The issues we address in the show are ones often overlooked when discussing the topic of bullying. Having both been bullied at a younger age, the project is very important to us, to try and get the message out there that they don’t have to deal with it alone.
With your contribution, we will be able to give more of the final sales from the show, to charity and make a difference.
What We Need & What You Get
How will your money help us? Your contribution will make the show as big as it deserves to be. We will be able to pay for the theatre, which means all of the box office sales will go to charity. If we manage to raise a little more than our target, then we can market the show even more and hopefully change a lot of lives with our story.
We have some great perks for those who are kind enough to contribute to our show including signed scripts, backstage VIP meet and greets with the cast, exclusive Always Love merchandise and much more.
The Impact
The stories of bullying we are telling are those of people often overlooked by society. The homeless man, cyber bullying, the mother being abused by her daughter, the middle aged business man and for once, hearing the bully’s story. Our aim with the show is to try and raise awareness of these often taboo subjects. To make people stop and think about the way they are and the way they are treated. To spread the message ‘always love’. (See what I did there?)
Between us, we have previously raised over £15,000 for charity through theatre shows, fund raisers and campaign work.
